The story of Arline begins in Maracaibo, Venezuela, where a woman named Arline Saldivia de Haack lived a full and wholesome life alongside her three children and seven grandchildren. Known for her sense of humor, incredible baking, generous heart, and undeniably chic style, Arline left a lasting mark on everyone who crossed her path.

Arline was everywhere, at any time of day, with no excuses. She loved an invitation and would never miss an event -whether it was a birthday party or a doctor’s appointment. If she wasn’t hosting a dinner, she was calling her closest friends for a cafecito. She loved being a part of everything because she cherished the presence of people and life itself. She knew the importance of showing up and, naturally, made everyone feel supported and special.

Those who knew her remember her with warmth. Her pound cakes and playful energy became almost synonymous with her name. But just as memorable was her prodigious collection of prendas - a Venezuelan term for jewelry.

Though she appreciated pieces from prestigious stores, Arline was always drawn to small businesses. She would often return home with handcrafted necklaces from local jewelry stands she happened to stumble upon. From branded to unbranded, she proudly rotated through her pieces, collecting an immense amount of compliments for her unique way of self-expression. Over time, these accessories became a part of her, and Arline would often gift them, passing each one down to those she held closest. It wasn’t just a gift; it was her way of sharing a piece of herself with those she loved most.

Arline’s passion for jewelry, heritage, and self-expression was passed down from generation to generation and, ultimately, led her granddaughter to found “Arline” in her honor.
